Project Execution Specialist

Join an energetic, motivated team that is truly committed to leading the charge towards environmental sustainability in industrial processes. Our client, a recognised leader in the recovery, recycling and commercialisation of industrial waste and by-products, is hiring!

The Role

This role presents an exciting opportunity to work in a socially responsible company whose aim is to safely recycle and repurpose industrial waste, reducing the impact on the environment while simultaneously reducing the cost to their customers.

The Project Execution Specialist (PES) will be responsible for managing the maritime transport of materials related to the company's operations.

The PES will be located in the Barbados office and report to the Managing Director.

The Company

The international environmental services company was founded more than thirty years ago and is a privately held, family-run business. The company, which has operating entities in seven countries, is focused on converting its customers' industrial waste into assets.

Exceeding the accepted standards of environmental responsibility is at the core of their business culture. They are passionate about innovation and continuously improve their processes and procedures, thereby creating customised solutions for their customers. They work with the most updated technologies and industrial by-product conversion processes. Their deep understanding of by-products' potential and their technical expertise have been critical to their success in altering their clients' practices towards preserving the environment.

The development of proprietary technology in one industry has led to the recovery and recycling of various by-products and the production of a useable on-site product. This results in improved yields for plants and a substantial reduction of costs to plants. The company has consistently processed, disposed of and sold more than 1.5 million tonnes per year of different by-products.

Barbados

Barbados, the most easterly island of the Caribbean with a population of 285,000, is an idyllic island surrounded by spectacular beaches and waters. There is a large expatriate community living and working on the island. They enjoy the laidback lifestyle, healthy outdoor living and year-round sunny climate.

The Government of Barbados continues to execute a carefully managed response plan to the COVID 19 pandemic. The roll-out of COVID 19 vaccines in a phased process began in early February 2021.
